FC Rubin lose to CSKA Moscow on Russian Premier League gameweek 19
Our starting lineup remained the same as against the Akhmat fixture, but the outcome was different
CSKA opened the score in the first half as Takuma Nisimura put the ball in the net after a flick-on from Mario Fernandes. The army men were the more offensive side while Egor Baburin delivered a decent goalkeeping performance
Our boys worked hard in the second half to come back into the game using set-pieces or a big chance for Pavel Mogilevets, but our efforts were denied by Igor Akinfeev. In the closing minutes CSKA scored twice as Ivan Oblyakov took advantage of our defensive mistake to send a through ball to Fedor Chalov who chipped it over Egor Baburin to make it 2-0 and Bijol put the ball in the net after a cross from the right wing.
