Vitaliy Kafanov leaves FC Rubin after 13 years of service
Vitaliy Kafanov on his decision:
- We have already parted our ways with Mr. Kurban Berdyev before: twice as a player and twice as an assistant coach. Now it's our third time. It was a hard decision to take, but I have to do it because of some circumstances. It does not mean that we will never work together again. I reiterate that Mr. Kurban Berdyev is a mentor who helped me become a football coach. I express my deepest gratitude to him. It's football, people come and people go, you never know what happens tomorrow. I wish to express my deepest gratitude to the club, the team, our city, the Republic of Tatarstan and all those I have worked with. Thank you very much, my friends!
Kurban Berdyev, head coach of FC Rubin
- Vitaliy Kafanov is like a younger brother to me. We have known each for such a long time. I remember him play as a goalkeeper. No words are needed, just check it out how many high-class goalkeepers he raised and trained thanks to his talent and dedication. It is his decision, he will always be my brother. We will always be in touch to help and support each other. I'm sure, one day we will work together again and for a long time.
Rustem Saymanov, general director of FC Rubin
